Apply to a Sandbox

Massachusetts organizations that provide an environment to test and validate digital health products or services can apply to join the Massachusetts Digital Health Sandbox Network under the Digital Health Sandbox Program. Approved sandboxes will be highlighted on the Digital Health Sandbox Program page and are eligible to receive grant funding to support projects working with Massachusetts digital health companies.

To apply for the program, complete the application document below and submit your application materials to Sandbox Program Manager, Katie Green at green@masstech.org. Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the application. If a confirmation email is not received within two business days, please contact Katie Green to confirm receipt of the application.

Applicants should also provide their user fee structure and a sample user agreement. If portions of these are confidential, please send a copy of these documents with sensitive sections redacted. As a public entity, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute is subject to the Massachusetts Public Records Law (Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 66), and thus documents and other materials made or received by MeHI and/or its employees are subject to public disclosure.

Prior to filling out an application, please schedule a call or meeting with MeHI so we can guide you through the application. To schedule a meeting, please contact Katie Green at green@masstech.org or 617-371-3999 x208.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and are typically reviewed quarterly in January, April, July, and October. The Sandbox Program’s Independent Steering Committee will review the applications and make approval recommendations to MeHI.
